We’ve partnered with Creative Scene to run a series of creative writing courses and our actors are working on street performance activities.
The next activity will be to provide actors to support the town tours for Heritage Open Day on Saturday 17 September. If you would like to help contact us by phone or e-mail. For more details see the Heritage Open Day Leaflet.

A Dewsbury Christmas Carol 2020
The Drama Club was awarded a grant from Third Sector Leaders to work in conjunction with Creative Scene on street performance characters based upon Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’. It had been intended to perform as part of the Christmas lights switch on but due to Covid19 restrictions this was cancelled. Instead the YouTube Video 'A Dewsbury Christmas Carol', was filmed by Andy Wicks in green screen to satisfy Covid regulations. None of the actors saw their fellow performers contributions until the final film was produced.
